Switch wipers off when parked in frost. If ice forms on the wipers, doing so prevents damaging blades or overheating the wiper motor when the car is started. Locks - Oil door and boot locks and spray with water repellent to prevent freezing. Similarly for bonnet and fuel cap. Inspect - all belts and hoses ++++++ Check oil level, battery, lights, and tyre tread and pressures
The condition of your vehicle's tyres is important. Worn and damaged tyres can hamper your ability to drive safely. Have them checked or replaced before winter begins. Remember to check tyre air pressure frequently, as it decreases in colder weather.
Clear snow and ice from all windows, lights, mirrors, and the roof. After starting your vehicle, wait for the mist to clear from the interior of the windows so you will have good visibility all around.
